Samuel Ward, DO, brings his passion for family medicine to the team at the Heights Clinic in Billings. Dr. Ward considers himself a jack of all trades. As a physician, he appreciates providing care for all ages, including senior care. He strongly believes in joint decision-making with his patients, empowering them to be involved in their healthcare. He feels that each patient should be met on their own level, whether a significant medical change or simple lifestyle modification. “I am passionate about always putting the patient first. I pride myself on my prompt responses, personality, and keeping up with the ever-evolving landscape of family medicine.” Dr. Ward earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in Toledo and completed his residency with Montana Family Medicine Residency in Billings. Stationed in Cherry Point, NC, he spent four years in the United States Navy, caring for active-duty sailors, marines, dependents, and pediatric patients. When not working, Dr. Ward spends his time with his wife and young daughter. After years of playing and watching sports, he has fostered a love for exercise. Weight-lifting, running, fly fishing, Dr. Ward enjoys it all. Exercise is the cornerstone of his healthcare philosophy
